HPW Architecture has enjoyed a long- standing and valued partnership with Haskins Garden Centres spanning more than two decades.

Having designed the Haskins West End Garden Centre itself more than 15 years ago, HPW were asked back to transform the existing restaurant into a modern and friendly 460 cover facility. The glass-walled extension includes the restaurant itself as well as a traditional stone hearth pizza oven, kitchens, storage areas, catering offices and other facilities.

Natural illumination and sculptured light fittings provide the space with a fresh atmosphere while circular ceiling rafts and feature walls create a warm, intimate and relaxing environment for diners to enjoy.

The restaurant, named The Swan Room after the original garden centre at the West End site, took seven months to complete and serves a wide range of food from traditional fayre and roasts on Sundays to pizzas, panini, cakes and pastries.

The restaurant achieved growth of 10% in the first two years and continues to be very popular and successful, attracting customers in it’s own right as well as visitors to the garden centre.
