The HPW Interior Design team has recently completed the refurbishment of areas within the Glen Eyre and Wessex Lane campus.  Working closely with the client, contractor and on-site team, the project was delivered on time and within a tight budget.
The brief was to create welcoming, inspiring and memorable environments.  To achieve this, our designs updated the tired interiors, rationalised the space planning to provide more useable and functional spaces, and modernised the furniture, finishes, M&E and lighting.
In the Common Room, a dominant mezzanine structure was removed to open up the space and expose the period features of the building.  The interior was then carefully redesigned to complement and highlight these features.  The result is a flexible, multi-use room divided into games, study and lounge areas with semi-private timber screening, enhanced lighting and acoustic treatment.
A viewing gallery / break out room has been created overlooking the Common Room, providing an ideal space for quiet, peaceful study.
The Reception has been transformed into a refreshing and welcoming area, with the revised layout creating more circulation space and improved facilities for students, and a more efficient working area for staff.
The WC’s have been fully stripped out, with new finishes, windows, cubicle system and sanitary ware installed.  The result is clean, contemporary, vibrant and refreshing.
