HPW has been working with the Essel Group for 3 years on the designs for a world class Cultural Quarter planned for London. As lead consultants HPW’s multi-disciplined team have visualised the Architecture and Interiors of the extensive proposals.

The Essel Group, an Indian conglomerate led by Dr Subhash Chandra, have been in detailed dialogue with developers, site owners and the Greater London Authority. Construction partners are on board and the consultant team is ready to develop the designs.

The Silvertown proposals occupy 14 acres of the 62-acre brownfield site, with the £1 billion cultural facility anchoring the activities on the site, and forming a significant part of the £3.5 billion overall Silvertown development.

HPW has carried out all design to date including 3D visualiations and sustainability assessments to ensure the scheme minimizes impact and is self sufficient in its operation. The cultural centre alone will be 2.5 million sq ft and provide extensive leisure, retail, education and cultural facilities for this world-leading destination. The client team project annual visitor numbers to be 10 million and as such requiring extensive and comprehensive public transport links.
