HPW has spent 2 years working with the Essel Group on the design for a world class Cultural Quarter planned for the Silvertown District in London. The Essel Group, an Indian conglomerate led by Dr Subhash Chandra, recently submitted plans to the Greater London Authority. Occupying 14 acres of the 62-acre brownfield site, the centre will be transformed into a £1 billion cultural facility, forming a significant part of the £3.5 billion overall Silvertown development.

HPW has carried out all design to date including 3D visualiations. The sustainable project will defy traditional tall building typologies and transform the city skyline. Spanning 2.5 million square feet, the centre will include museums and a theatre, retail outlets, restaurants, a botanical garden and a luxury hotel all with an emphasis on health and wellbeing.
