People-centred, inclusive design for play

Mushroom-shaped play structures with wooden platforms in a sunny park. Greenery in the foreground and a clear blue sky above.

Designing for play is about more than equipment, it’s about creating inclusive environments where every child feels they belong.

At the core of our work is a commitment to people-centred, inclusive design, creating places that support wellbeing and a sense of belonging.

We believe environments can actively support therapeutic experiences through:

  • Safe, intuitive layouts that reduce anxiety and build confidence

  • Calm sensory climates shaped by light, colour, and acoustics

  • Choice and flexibility, giving children ownership of their space

  • Connections with nature, restoring focus and uplifting wellbeing

When design considers both emotional and physical needs, spaces become more than functional, they become part of the journey towards growth, resilience and joy.

A fantastic example of this is Fairytale Farm and the amazing Fairy Dell play area created by CAP.CO., to find out more about this amazing attraction follow this link https://lnkd.in/epU8-rvR and to learn more about Fairy Dell play area check out this link https://lnkd.in/eCQMAsF8
