spudWORKS visit

Alex & Jacob had the privilege of a personal tour around spudWORKS in Sway last week.

Circular wooden hut with a conical roof, surrounded by lush greenery and a dirt path. String lights hang around the roof. Peaceful setting.
Modern black building with large windows, surrounded by a lush garden. A topiary shaped like an animal and a wooden bench in the foreground.

It was fantastic to see the great work they do in the community, the upcoming exhibitions lined up in their programme and the amazing artists involved with the charity.

We enjoyed hearing about the spudYouth Architecture group and spud’s commitment to nurturing the children’s skills, such as ‘investigation, analysis and ideas development’. These skills that are so essential, not just in Architectural design but in all creative fields. It was encouraging to hear how previous cohorts of this group have gone on to study Architecture at university level.

We look forward to seeing how HPW and the team can engage more with this wonderful charity and we look forward to the upcoming exhibitions Mark Drury FRSA
